The idea of this blog came about because I’ve found that I’m the type of person that likes to retrospeculate. It’s not a word, per se, but my derivative of:

ret·ro·spect
ˈretrəˌspekt/
noun
  1. a survey or review of a past course of events or period of time.

I often find myself reminiscing about past experiences and events, evaluating how I felt and acted at that time and why.

Life is fast and at times fleeting. We go through the motions and emotions in a given time and sometimes, if we are lucky, we ask ourselves at that time “Why did it happen like that?” or “Why did I feel that way?”

Unfortunately, we can’t always do this while living in the moment and that’s ok. We’re only human.

Retrospeculating is a powerful gift we give ourselves. It’s an opportunity to learn more about yourself as a person by using your past experiences as guidance for your future thinking and motivations.

Welcome. Thank you for reading. Let’s retrospeculate.
